Stephanie Hernandez, LSW

Stephanie Hernandez

Stephanie Hernandez is a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Social Worker at Empowered Mind Therapy with over 8 years of experience supporting adolescents, young adults, and their families. As a Latina born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, she brings a culturally responsive, compassionate, and relatable approach to her work.

Stephanie has a strong background as a school social worker, where she has worked closely with both students and families to navigate emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges. This experience allows her to understand the unique dynamics that can impact young people and the importance of support both at home and in school settings.

She currently works with clients ages 12 to 25 who may be experiencing anxiety, stress, life transitions, or feeling overwhelmed and stuck. Stephanie creates a safe, supportive space where clients can show up as they are, without judgment, and feel genuinely heard and understood.

Her approach is collaborative and strength-based. She helps clients build practical coping skills for managing day-to-day stress while also exploring deeper patterns that may be contributing to their struggles. Her goal is to help clients feel more confident, grounded, and in control of their lives.

Stephanie’s style is warm, approachable, and supportive. She believes therapy should feel empowering and works alongside clients to help them move forward in a way that feels right for them.
